Semper Soulday: The Peace Within

Today, did you go within?  Did you go to Church?  Did you pray? Did you meditate?  Did you do yoga?  Did you journal?  Did you do anything for your spiritual health? Don't we all need reminders from time to time?  I'm not talking to-do list reminders; I'm talking about touching-in-with-your-soul reminders.  Unfortunately, most of us [...]

I was married once...nearly a decade ago.  Like anything in the Marine Corps, even the [...]

Finding New Freckles – A Post About Self-Awareness

I'm covered in freckles.  Depending on the season, this is a more noticeable cosmetic trait at some times than others.  This January, while winter waged its war in the northern hemisphere, I escaped to the equator in order to soak up the sunshine of Costa Rica.  There is a direct correlation between the amount of [...]

Choosing Calm Over Chaos – Let Your Computer Be Your Coach (or whatever material object in your life that tries to teach you a lesson ;-p)

Ok, so I'm taking a small, insignificant example and using it to highlight a principle.  Bear with me, folks ;) On the second leg of my journey from Columbus Ohio to Palm Springs California on Monday night, I boarded a "puddle jumper" plane in Phoenix. My appropriately sized carry-on was too big to bring aboard, [...]
